Ingredients
Scale
Base
- 1 box fudge marshmallow cookies
Toppings
- 12 pieces raw almonds
- 6 pieces wafer rolls
Coating
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Crush Cookies. Crush the fudge marshmallow cookies into small pieces, combining crumbs and chunks to create the base mixture for your edible candles.
- Prepare Sugar Mixture. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon water. Stir until smooth, adding more water as needed to achieve a thick, coating consistency that doesn’t drip.
- Form Balls. Shape the crushed cookie mixture into small balls approximately the size of a golf ball.
- Coat Balls. Dip each cookie ball into the powdered sugar mixture thoroughly to coat it completely with sweetness.
- Add Almond Wicks. Gently press one raw almond into the top of each coated ball to act as the candle wick.
- Insert Wafer Flames. Carefully insert a wafer roll into the side of each cookie ball, creating the look of a candle flame.
- Optional Snow Effect. Lightly dust the finished edible candles with extra powdered sugar for a snowy, festive touch.
Notes
- Ensure the powdered sugar mixture is thick enough to coat without dripping for the best appearance.
- Use fresh raw almonds for maximum crunch and to hold securely in place.
- These edible candles are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Handle the wafer rolls gently to avoid breaking them during insertion.
- Perfect for holiday parties or as an interactive treat for kids.
