Description

Tzatziki Chicken & Veggie Naan Pizza is a quick and flavorful Mediterranean-inspired dish that combines the creamy tang of tzatziki sauce with tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and melted mozzarella on a soft naan bread base. Perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner, this recipe takes just 22 minutes to prepare and serves 2 people.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 2 naan breads

Chicken & Veggies

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast (shredded or diced)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • ¼ cup red onion (thinly sliced)

Cheeses & Sauce

  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley or dill (chopped), to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to melt the cheese and warm the naan crisply.
  2. Assemble the Pizzas: Place the 2 naan breads on a baking sheet laid flat. Spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of tzatziki sauce evenly over each naan as the flavorful base layer.
  3. Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the tzatziki on each naan. Then evenly distribute the fresh spinach leaves, cooked chicken breast pieces, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion. Finally, sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top for added creaminess and tang.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the mozzarella is melted and bubbly, and the naan edges are slightly crisp.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove the naan pizzas from the oven. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or dill for a fresh herbal note. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over for a bright, zesty finish.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought or homemade tzatziki depending on your preference.
  • For a spicier kick, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before baking.
  • If you want a crispier crust, lightly brush the naan edges with olive oil before adding toppings.
  • Make sure your chicken is cooked beforehand to keep the assembly and baking quick.
  • Feel free to substitute the spinach with arugula or kale for a different leafy green flavor.
