Description

This Texas Roadhouse Salmon recipe features tender salmon fillets coated in a sweet and savory brown sugar glaze with hints of soy sauce, garlic, and paprika. Baked to perfection, this dish offers a flavorful and healthy meal that’s quick to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  3. Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the brown sugar glaze evenly over the top of each fillet to coat them well.
  4. Bake First Phase: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 8 minutes, allowing the glaze to set and the fish to begin cooking.
  5. Bake Second Phase: Remove the salmon from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over each fillet. Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue baking for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Rest and Garnish: Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes after baking to allow the juices to redistribute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving for added color and freshness.

Notes

  • Ensure salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F for safe consumption.
  • Use fresh parsley for best garnish flavor and appearance.
  • You can substitute brown sugar with coconut sugar for a slight variation.
  • For a less sweet glaze, reduce the amount of brown sugar or honey slightly.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
