Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Oreo Truffles that combine crushed Oreo cookies with creamy softened cream cheese, dipped in semisweet chocolate and topped with white melting chocolate for a perfect sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 package Oreos (any flavor, double stuffed or regular)
  • 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)

Coating

  • 12 oz. semisweet chocolate
  • 6 oz. white melting chocolate for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo mixture: Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Transfer the crushed Oreos to a mixing bowl and add the softened cream cheese. Mix well until combined and smooth. Chill the mixture for about 15 minutes to firm up slightly.
  2. Form the truffles: Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form the chilled Oreo and cream cheese mixture into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for about 10 minutes to firm up.
  3. Dip and decorate: Melt the semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, covering completely. Place them back onto the parchment paper to set. Melt the white melting chocolate and drizzle it over the dipped truffles for decoration. Allow truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate until the coating is firm.

Notes

  • Use softened cream cheese to ensure smooth mixing.
  • Freezing the formed truffles makes dipping easier and cleaner.
  • You can substitute the semisweet chocolate with milk or dark chocolate as preferred.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a festive touch, add sprinkles or crushed Oreos over the white chocolate drizzle before it sets.
