Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Marinade
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Garnish
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: Place the chicken tenders in a bowl and add olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the chicken is evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Prepare the cooking surface: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface to prevent the chicken from sticking and to promote even browning.
- Cook the chicken: Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place them on the hot grill or skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Rest and garnish: Transfer the cooked chicken tenders to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes. This helps retain their juices. Before serving, sprinkle the chicken with chopped fresh parsley to add a bright, fresh flavor.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, marinate the chicken overnight in the refrigerator.
- You can also bake the chicken tenders in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes if you don’t have a grill or prefer baking.
- Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete Mediterranean-style meal.
- If you prefer less sodium, reduce the added salt or substitute with a salt-free seasoning blend.
