Description

This rich and creamy Macadamia Nut Fudge is a decadent treat combining smooth semisweet chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and crunchy macadamia nuts. Perfectly balanced with a hint of vanilla and a pinch of salt, this no-bake fudge is easy to make and ideal for gifting or enjoying as a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Ingredients

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips (18 ounces), high quality such as Ghirardelli or Guittard
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk (like Eagle Brand)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking pan with regular foil, making sure the foil covers all sides for easy removal later. Lightly coat the foil with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Set the pan aside.
  2. Melt and Mix: In a large heavy saucepan, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and a pinch of salt. Cook over low heat, stirring continuously until the chocolate chips are mostly melted. Add the pure vanilla extract and stir vigorously until the mixture is smooth and homogenous. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  3. Add Nuts and Set: Stir in the chopped macadamia nuts evenly through the fudge mixture. Spoon the thick fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top with the back of a spoon or a rubber spatula. Expect some texture but aim for an even surface. Chill the fudge in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm to the touch.
  4. Cut and Serve: Once set, use the foil edges to lift the fudge out of the pan gently. Peel off the foil carefully. Cut the fudge into 1-inch squares for serving or gifting.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and smooth texture.
  • Ensure the heat is low when melting to avoid scorching the chocolate.
  • Macadamia nuts can be toasted lightly before chopping to enhance their flavor if desired.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • Allow fudge pieces to come to room temperature for a few minutes before serving for optimal softness.
