Description

A quick and delicious recipe featuring perfectly fried eggs tossed in a creamy, spicy mayo blend, enhanced with cheese and garlic spread for an irresistible flavor combination. Perfect as a snack or a light meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Eggs

  • 2 pieces fresh eggs, room temperature
  • Salt to taste, freshly cracked preferred
  • Black pepper to taste, freshly cracked preferred
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil for frying

Spicy Mayo Sauce

  • 1 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp garlic spread
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard

Additional

  • 1 slice cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat Oil: Heat 2 tablespoons of neutral oil in a pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes until the oil shimmers, indicating it’s hot enough for frying.
  2. Fry Eggs: Crack the eggs into the pan, season them with freshly cracked salt and black pepper. Cook the eggs for 2 minutes on the first side, then carefully flip and cook for an additional 15 seconds to achieve crispy edges.
  3. Set Yolks: Turn off the heat and let the eggs sit in the pan for 1 minute. This step allows the yolks to set slightly without fully hardening, maintaining a creamy texture.
  4. Prepare and Mix: Cut the fried eggs into pieces. In a separate bowl, mix together mayo, sriracha, garlic spread, and dijon mustard. Combine the chopped eggs with this spicy mayo mixture and mix gently for about 5 minutes to evenly coat and blend flavors.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs to ensure even cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha depending on your spice preference.
  • Use freshly cracked pepper and salt for the best flavor.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and texture.
  • Neutral oil such as canola or vegetable oil is recommended for frying to avoid overpowering flavors.
