Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Sauce
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buffalo sauce (mild or hot, according to preference)
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sliders and Toppings
- 12 slider buns (small hamburger buns)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional, such as cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to ensure they are well-flavored before cooking.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
- Shred the Chicken: Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, shred the chicken using two forks or your hands to achieve a pulled texture.
- Mix with Buffalo Sauce: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with buffalo sauce. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated, adjusting the amount of sauce to suit your spice preference.
- Prepare the Buns: Slice the slider buns in half. Optionally, lightly toast the cut sides in the skillet for added texture and flavor.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place a generous scoop of the buffalo chicken mixture on the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded lettuce, diced celery, and a drizzle of ranch or blue cheese dressing.
- Add Cheese (Optional): Sprinkle shredded cheese over the buffalo chicken mixture if desired.
- Finish the Sliders: Place the top half of the buns on the assembled sliders to complete them.
- Serve Warm: Arrange the sliders on a serving platter and serve immediately. Alternatively, keep them warm in a low oven until ready to serve.
Notes
- You can adjust the spiciness of the sliders by choosing mild or hot buffalo sauce to suit your taste.
- To make these sliders gluten-free, substitute the slider buns with gluten-free buns or lettuce wraps.
- For extra flavor, you can add pickles or a dash of hot sauce before serving.
- If you prefer a stronger blue cheese flavor, use blue cheese crumbles in addition to the dressing.
- These sliders are best served fresh but can be kept warm in a low oven for up to 30 minutes without drying out.
